Edson D. Reynolds, 77, of Danbury, died June 11 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Elizabeth J. (Bottiglierie) Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds was born Jan. 9, 1935, in Danbury, son of the late Percy C. and Gladys (Purdy) Reynolds. He attended Danbury schools and served in the United States Marines during the Korean conflict.

A longtime employee of Dandy Distributors in Danbury, he retired in 2000, but continued to work part-time until recently. He also worked for the former R. J. Gallagher Septic Co. and the city of Danbury.

Mr. Reynolds enjoyed watching old Westerns, as well as wrestling and professional golf.

In addition to his wife of 44 years, he is survived by a daughter, Ann Sapienza, and her husband, Massimo, of New Milford; three sons, Edson D. Reynolds II, and his wife, Christina, of Southbury; John Vlamis, and his wife, Patricia, of Prospect; and Joseph Bottiglierie, and his wife, Roxanne, of Evansville, Ind.; three sisters, Eugena Baldwin, of Danbury, Carolyn Murphy, of Southbury, and Jane Willcox, of New Milford; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Reynolds, in 1984.

The Green Funeral Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
