A New Milford man was released Monday after being treated at Danbury Hospital following a one-car crash in New Milford Friday night, according to the hospital nursing supervisor.

Joseph Portunato, of Baltic Lane, was transported to the hospital by ambulance Friday at approximately 9 p.m. after being extricated from his 2005 Acura by emergency responders from Water Witch Hose Co. No. 2, police said.

Mr. Portunato's car had struck a construction trailer parked near Rite Aid Pharmacy at 173 Danbury Road (Route 7 South). No further information on the incident was released by New Milford police.

The incident was under investigation.
