Doris (Ferguson) (Crowley) Zehrung, 101, formerly of New Milford, died Nov. 24, 2010, at White Oak Manor in Tryon, N.C.

Mrs. Zehrung was born April 14, 1909, in Waltham, Mass., daughter of the late William Ferguson and Olive (Bartlett) Ferguson, and the widow of the late Dr. William Zehrung.

A retired registered nurse, her last position was a nurse anesthetist with New Milford Hospital.

An avid supporter of the Clan Ferguson Society of North America, she and her late husband, Bill, traveled to Scotland many times.

She is survived by William A. Crowley, of Lake Lure, N.C., and Michael J. Crowley, of Eastchester, N.Y., and Marion (Crowley) Delellis, of South Pasadena, Calif.

Mrs. Zehrung is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard B. Ferguson, of Houston, and a sister, Jean Bessel, of Worcester, Mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Kent. Burial will follow at Morningside Cemetery in Gaylordsville.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Friday) at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford.
