Kent Memorial Library and the library’s Parents’ Committee will co-sponsor a “Dinosaurs Rock!” program April 13 at 1 p.m.

The event will be held at the Kent Community House on Route 7 North.

The space will be turned into a dinosaur touch museum with a variety of museum-quality (many genuine and life-size) dinosaur fossils and other prehistoric-related items.

The program will feature an interactive presentation, a fossil dig, over 30 specimens that are 10,000 to more thanm 500 million years old, and a dino store.

“We planned this awesome event in conjunction with Region One’s spring break so that the maximum number of local kids would be free to come to the event,” said Sarah Marshall, director of children’s services.

We’re lucky because it’s also vacation for many schools in the surrounding region, and we hope to see a huge crowd come take advantage of this special treat,” she said.

The program is free and open to all ages.
