Diane Hopponen, 70, lived in New Milford

Diane M. (Prince) Hopponen, 70, of New Milford, wife of 48 years to James L. Hopponen, died July 14, 2012, at her home.

Mrs. Hopponen was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Donald and Florence (Williams) Hannon.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hopponen is survived by a son, James R. Hopponen, and his wife, Linda, of New Milford; a daughter, Susan Hopponen, and her partner, Alene Marshall, of New Milford; a sister, Donna Orris, of Michigan; a brother, Raymond Hannon, of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Judith and Bette.

The Cornell Memorial Home in Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
