The New Milford Democratic Town Committee will hold a caucus Wednesday, July 22, at 7:30 p.m. at the Richmond Citizen Center to nominate candidates for the November municipal election.

In addition, the committee said it will have a presence July 24-25 at its booth during the Village Fair Days.

Candidates will be chosen for mayor, Town Council, the Board of Education, the Zoning Commission and other offices, according to party chairman Andrew Grossman.

“It’s important that Democrats come out and participate in the proceedings as well as meet the candidates,” Grossman said. “The party is powered by our members, not the town committee, so I invite and urge people to come and take part in the nominating process.”

The Village Fair Days booth will feature a raffle, giveaways from registered New Milford voters and other activities.

Democratic candidates will also appear at the booth throughout the fair.
