The Cruzin' New Milford spring kick-off car and motorcycle show will take place Sunday, May 18, from 1 to 8 p.m.

Festivities will be offered on the grounds of Faith Church at 600 Danbury Road (Route 7 South).

Activities will include music by a disc jockey, door prizes, giveaways, vendors, a 50/50 raffle, trophies for Best of Show cars and motorcycles, special fallen solider and wounded warrior awards, other memorial awards and more.

Special guest is retired Dallas Cowboy center Gennaro Dinapoli (from 2003-05), who was with the Titans from 2000-02 and with the Raiders from 1998-2000.

More than 1,000 cars, trucks and motorcycles are expected to be on display.

Special categories will be offered for classics, street rods and customs, muscle cars, Corvettes, sport imports, Mustangs, trucks and Jeeps, motorcycles and other vehicles.

The entry fee is $12 for the car and bike show, which includes a goody bag for the first 200 entries.

Cars are welcome at 1 p.m., although the show will not open to the public until 2.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Remembering the Veterans and Wreaths for Heroes in memory of Navy SEAL Jason Lewis, who was killed in action in Iraq in 2007.

The event is co-sponsored by Don Clady, Connecticut Cruise News and friends.
