St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington will present a concert as part of the new Music for a Midsummer's Afternoon series June 17 at 4 p.m.
Organist choir master Alan Murchie and some of his friends will perform a program that includes Debussy's "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" along with works by Mozart, Poulenc and Gaubert.
Flutist Courtenay Hardy will be featured in the June 17 concert.
A reception will follow at the 78 Green Hill Road church.
Upcoming concerts will feature the Renaissance vocal ensemble Earlybird in July and baritone Andrew Garland in August.
A free will donation of $10 is requested.
