To the Editor:
It's summer time here in the Litchfield Hills, where the livin' is easy.
As many of us are distracted by the Olympics in London, the Mitt & Barry Show, stateside, the one percent, AKA Chaos Inc., is at it again, this time on Iran.
Not happy with the disasters of its actions (a.k.a. war crimes) in Afghanistan and Iraq, and in north Africa, and the Middle East, the United States is enacting war-like sanctions on the people of Iran.
Yet it's Israel who have nukes and not the Iranians.
So why is Israel talking about Iran, with AIPAC (America Israel Political Action Committete)-inspired legislation pending in Congress?
Whatever happened to the mutually assured destruction concept of western thought? India vs. Pakistan? The U.S. vs. the world?
Is Israel willing to renounce its nukes and and make Middle East nuclear free?
While the good citizens of America, Europe and the rest of the world may lament the continual war mongering of the one percent, they seem impotent to stop it.
So the only hope, it seems, is for China and Russia to step in and say enough.
Hands off Iran, loudly and clearly.
Let's get back to summer time here in the Litchfield Hills of northwest Connecticut.
Forget the Mitt & Barry Show, and check out Jill Stein for United States president at http://jillstein.org.
And say enough with war mongers and Wall Street bankers.
