The Connecticut Clay Artists will present its 16th annual show and sale Aug. 28-30 at the Jewish Community Center in Sherman at 9 Route 39 South.

The event will kick off with a reception with the artists Aug. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. and continues with the show and sale Aug. 29-30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

CCA work includes professionally handbuilt, wheel- thrown and sculpted art made from stoneware, porcelain and earthenware.

Clay pieces in this show are both functional and decorative.

A signature of CCA is their collaborative artwork, done during their monthly workshops.

A “seconds” area will also be available.

Participating members will include Paula Marian of Sherman, Annette Marcus of Brookfield, Paula Cook, Katie Tynan Helu and Peggy Thomas of Ridgefield, Rosalind Lilengren, Seowoon Oh and Karen Pinto of Newtown, Sue Ann Heller of Southport, and new members Sarah Benedict of Ridgefield and Gaby Coronado of Bethel.
