The First Congregational Church in New Milford is celebrating its 300th anniversary.

In addition, the church’s pipe organ marks its 50th year.

A variety of programs will be offered throughout the year to mark the milestones.

The church’s Vacation Bible School program will offer a one-night VBS family event Feb. 27 and April 30 from 4 to 8 p.m., and the church’s annual summer VBS will be held in June.

The public is invited to attend.

In addition, an organ recital with Jason Roberts, associate organist at St. Bartholomew’s Church in New York, and a screening of the silent film “The Navigator” will be held March 11 at 7 p.m., followed by a reception.

Other celebratory offerings will include a Memorial Day parade float May 30, a touch-a-truck fundraiser June 18, a choir appreciation event June 26, a catered lunch with Nigel Mumford and a prayer service Oct. 23 and a 300th celebration service Nov. 21.
