Chocolate Fest set in Washington

The Washington Republican Town Committee will hold its annual Chocolate Fest April 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Festivities will be held at the American Legion Hall in Bryan Plaza.
Patrons can fill a plate with chocolate treats, including cookies, brownies, cupcakes, candy, fudge, chocolate novelty items, as well as a table dedicated to “no nuts” goodies.
Other offerings will include a “Count the M&M’s” game, with the prize being a gift certificate to Hickory Stick Bookshop; a “Find the Elephant” activity, with the prize being a gift certificate to Washington Food Market; a silent auction; and door prizes.
The cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 7.
The event is a fundraiser for the WRTC, but a percentage of what is raised is given back to the town.
Past funds have supported the Karen Black Garden, the Legion Hall, the fuel bank, the Community Fund, the purchase of new flags for town hall.
