Champions were crowned recently in New Milford Parks & Recreation's men's and women's slowpitch softball leagues.

Following a four-month campaign featuring 31 men's teams and nine women's teams, the Chemero Group and Candlewood Valley Motors/Fat City Screen Printing emerged as the champions of their respective men's and women's leagues.

In men's competition, Chemero earned the `A' division title while Dr. Don's Auto Repair, Hometown Liquors, TRT Bail Bonds/1st & Ten and Midway Joe's captured respective B, C, D and E division laurels.

In women's softball, Candlewood/Fat City won the top prize while Connecticut Orthopedic Associates gain `B' division accolades by winning a tournament for non-playoff squads.
