Seventy-two young men and women are Class of 2015 graduates of Shepaug Valley School in Washington this week.

A large crowd of family members and friends looked on as school administrators and staff delivered diplomas to the teens during a commencement ceremony Saturday morning, June 13, under sunny skies on the Shepaug Valley campus. Teens from Washington, Bridgewater, Roxbury and Sherman took their their place as Region 12 graduates. Principal Kim Gallo was introduced the graduates to receive their diplomas from Superintendent of Schools Pat Casentino and Board of Education Chairman James Hirschfield.

The event was highlighted by addresses from Class of 2015 valedictorian Sebastian Taylor and salutatorian Kelsey Johnson.

Class of 2015 President Rachel Crossley closed the ceremony with her words of farewell. She led the grads in the turning of the tassels and then showed the recessional amid faculty, family and friends, a festive march punctuated by smiles, high-fives, fist bumps, photo posing and celebratory hugs.
