A rash of car break-ins were reported to police last week by New Milford residents.

Residents on Mallett Lane, Second Hill Road, New Street, Outlook Road and Upper Mallett Lane reported break-ins overnight to a total of 12 vehicles, according to the police log.

Wallets, purses, three GPS devices and a laptop computer were reported stolen.

Several calls also reported cars that had been "ransacked" with nothing apparently having been removed, according to police.

Another call to police reported tires slashed on a vehicle parked at an Aspetuck Ridge Road residence.

Police are investigating the incidents.
