A 55-year-old New York man is facing charges for reportedly impersonating a police officer.
Timothy Vesely, of Bronx, N.Y. turned himself in to New Milford Police Sunday on a warrant charge of impersonating a police officer.
Vesely had gone to the New Milford Police Department on Dec. 13, 2015 with questions about the investigation by New Milford Police into a motor vehicle accident a relative of Vesely’s had been in, according to Lt. Larry Ash, public information officer. Vesely identified himself as a New York City police office at that time, which proved to be a false identification, Ash said.
Vesely was released Sunday on $5,000 cash bond with a court date of Jan. 19 in Superior Court in Bantam.
