Blood bank on tap at Gunnery

An American Red Cross blood bank will take place May 27 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Gunnery in Washington.

The event, sponsored by the private school's upperclass girls' dorm, Van Sinderen, will take place in the Emerson Performing Arts Center at the school, 78 Green Hill Road (Route 47).

Donors must have a positive form of identification; be 17 or older; weigh 110 pounds or more; and have waited at least 56 days since the last donation.

For younger donors, there is a mandated height/weight ratio.
