Her first job was in the office at Shepard's Tannery in Bethel.
In 1954, she married Harry H. Taylor Jr. and moved to New Milford. She began working in the office at H.H. Taylor & Son in 1964, eventually becoming vice president. She retired last November.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching the Food Network, and researching the genealogy of both the Seifert and Taylor families. She and her husband also enjoyed visiting national parks and traveling abroad to England and Germany with siblings.
Her grandchildren were the greatest joy of her life.
In addition to her husband of 59 years, she is survived by two daughters, Susan Sennello, and Diane Taylor, both of New Milford; five grandsons, Michael and Christopher Sennello, and Daniel, Matthew and Timothy Lewis; two brothers, Paul Seifert, and his wife, Barbara; and Donald Seifert, and his wife, Lynn; a sister, Barbara Olson, and her husband, Ronald; and several nieces and nephews.
The Colonial Funeral Service in New Milford was in charge of the arrangements.
Burial is at the convenience of the family.
