The Behnke Doherty Gallery in Washington will open its next show, "Mastering Serenity: Asian Art and Its Influences," April 6.

An artist's reception will be held April 7 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The show, which will run through May 13, will feature works by printmaker Deborah Weiss, three dimensional artist Amelia de Neergaard, and ceramicist Uko Morita.

In addition, the gallery will present masterworks by several of the most important ceramic artists of Japan.

The exhibit may be seen at the 6 Green Hill Road gallery Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
