Beaulah E. Bean, 90, of New Milford, died June 14, 2010.
Mrs. Bean was born March 9, 1920, in Northfield Falls, Vt., daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Shepherd) Provost.
She graduated from Northfield High School in 1938.
Mrs. Bean married her late husband, Willard J. Bean, in Northfield. Together they moved their family to Roxbury in 1956.
Mrs. Bean retired after 20 years of employment with the State of Connecticut as a cook at the Southbury Training School.
She is survived by two daughters, Gaila M. Rossiter, and her husband, Peter, of Roxbury, and Garnet L. Skidmore, of Fitchburg, Mass.; two sons, Charles J. Bean, and his wife, Connie, of Sharon, and Joseph W. Bean, and his wife, Sheryl, of New Milford; a daughter-in-law, Lois (Dwy) Bean, of North Carolina; a sister, Sonja Robbins, of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Bean was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Willard; a son, Kenneth C. Bean; six sisters; and three brothers.
Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Northfield, Vt., Monday, July 12, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David F. Peters officiating.
