The ThriftMart of New Milford, which celebrated its 61st anniversary March 19, will hold a bag sale April 10-11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost is $6.50 per bag.

Items include clothing, shoes, purses and boutique items.

The store has given $2.5 million to the community in the last 25 years.

All personnel is voluntary, and the only money used is for costs for rent, electricity, heat and supplies.

The store is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., except Sundays, at 146 Danbury Road.

The Western Connecticut Health Network Foundation has appointed Bethel resident Anthony M. "Tony" Rizzo Jr. as the new chairman of its board of directors, effective Jan. 22.

A director of the foundation since 2013, Rizzo is also a founder, director and former chairman of the WCHN Foundation Associate Board of Directors.
