Asks mayor to 'tear down speed bumps'

(Editor's Note: The following is an open letter to Mayor Pat Murphy of New Milford.)

Dear Mayor,

In the tone of former President Reagan, "Please, mayor, tear down those speed bumps" as the pedestrian access to the Green. Let us not irritate the tourists.

It's just another example of a town's bird brain idea, such as the plan to relocate mailboxes off the Green.

To complain, motivates change.
