To the Editor:

The New Milford High School baseball team went to the birthplace of baseball this spring to play a game on historic Doubleday Field and to visit the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.

This trip would not have been possible without the generous support and help of many people. On behalf of all of my coaches and players, I would like to extend thanks to the following businesses and individuals who helped to make our annual pasta dinner a booming success.

Thanks go to Anthony's Lake Club for their Pure Flavor Sauce and to the Cookhouse for salad, Pane Fresco Bakery of Brookfield for bread, D'Italia for meatballs and Pepsi Co. for beverages.

Thanks also go to Costco, Shop Rite, Stew Leonard, Stop & Shop and Big Y for gift cards.

Thanks to all the parents who helped sell tickets and volunteered the night of the dinner, especially to Kim Valzania and Doreen Ek, who planned the event and helped with getting the donations, and to Kathy Donato, who coordinated desserts.

Finally, a big thank you goes to Rebecca Smith and Greg Demko, members of the National Honor Society, for doing the dishes.

It was a great night and a wonderful experience for the players, which was only possible with the help of all of the above businesses and people and also all the good people who came to eat pasta that night.
