To the Editor:

My grandson, Mark MacInnis, of Boy Scout Troop 432, has obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.

For his project to help the community, he made a large flag-deposit box in which to retire old U.S. flags.

He also did some landscaping at the VFW, which sponsors Troop 432, by the VFW's entrance at 11 Avery Road.

Mark was required to earn 21 badges and he earned 29.

Mark would like to thank all who helped and donated materials and plants to complete his project: The late George Pineman of Pineman Sign, Ring's End, Home Depot, Agway, the Big Y, Costco, Advanced Construction, Robert Lawrence, Marla Scribner, Kathy Barringer, James Bain of Bain District Advancement, all Scout leaders and Scouts who helped with the project, and family and friends and anyone I might have forgotten to mention.

Thank you.
