The Gaylordsville Historical Society has announced the recipient of this year’s Alan S. Farnham Memorial Scholarship, and that applications for the Rosemarie “Mimi” Burkhardt Continuing Education Scholarships are being accepted.

Thomas Lebert, who will attend American University in Washington, D.C., this fall, is the recipient of this year’s Farnham scholarship.

Applications for the Rosemarie “Mimi” Burkhardt memorial continuing education scholarship must be submitted by Aug. 1.

The applicant must live in Gaylordsville and have applied and been accepted in a continuing education program.

Acceptable programs are not limited to college classes but also include adult education courses, vocational training, retraining programs, enrichment classes or other career enrichment programs.

The applicant cannot have been a previous recipient of this award.
