Applaud support of 'Friends of Fisher House'

To the Editor:

The generosity of the citizens of Kent and surrounding towns from Nov. 9 to 16 to support "Friends of Fisher House" realized the cash amount of $4,156.27.

This fund drive would not have been successful without the cooperation of our veterans and Davis IGA.

Our veterans personally collected the funds each and every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Monies raised will be used for the construction of a Fisher House at the Veterans Home in West Haven, where families of ill and injured veterans can live at no cost while visiting their loved ones as they recover.

I wish to again thank Gary Davis and John Grant of Davis IGA, who offered their support and cooperation during the week-long collection.
