The Washington Antiques & Design Show will kick off Oct. 9 with a preview party from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in Washington.

Festivities, including music by the David Poirer Quartet, will take place at Washington Primary School on School Street.

The show, which will feature 18 dealers, will be open Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event funds the town's historical museum, a division of Gunn Memorial Library, Inc.

This year’s show will pay tribute to honorary chairwoman Kirsten Peckerman, who served as a trustee for the Gunn Memorial Library & Museum from 1999 to 2003 and has been a longtime supporter of the institution, as well as a benefactor of the antiques show.

Tickets to each party are $125. Admission to the show is $10.

The event is one of the primary fundraisers for Gunn Memorial Library & Museum in town.
