Animal books course on tap

The After School Arts Program in Washington, which serves northwest Connecticut, is accepting registration for its upcoming animal books workshops.

The workshops, led by book artist and calligrapher Terri Tibbatts, are open to students in grades K through 5.

The workshop for grades K-2 will be held March 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 3:30 to 4:40 p.m. at Booth Free School in Roxbury, while the course for graes 3 to 5 will meet March 7, 14, 21 and April 4 from 3:40 to 4:40 p.m. at Burnham School in Bridgewater.

The participation fee is $44 for Region 12 residents/students and $60 for nonresidents.
