Alice Jennings, 95, worked in banks

Alice Jennings was born March 28, 1917, in Cumberland, R.I., daughter of the late Albert and Nellie (Longton) Douglas, of New Milford.
Her early years were spent in New Milford, graduating with the New Milford High School, Class of 1935.
During World War II, she served with the U.S. Navy, followed by a long career working for savings banks in the Bridgeport area.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Finn, and her husband, John "Jack" Finn, of Shelton; four grandchildren, Colleen Finn; John Finn Jr.; Kari Saksa, and her husband, Robert; and Donia Jennings; a stepdaughter-in-law, Frances Jennings; and two nieces, Chris Osborne, of New Milford, and Cynthia Osborne, of Sherman. She was predeceased by a stepson, Bradford Jennings, and a sister, Emma Douglas Osborne, and her husband, Gilbert, of New Milford.
Burial with full military honors was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
