To the Editor:

When I was young, all the railroad crossings had signs that warned us to "stop, look and listen."

That is still good advice.

Too many times we want to charge full speed ahead and not consider the impact.

Hans Denck once wrote in a prayer: "O my God, men flee from you and say they cannot find you; they turn their backs and they cannot see you; they stop their ears and say they cannot hear you."

Do you and I fall into this category?

God is ever present, ever willing to listen any time we are willing to stop what we are doing, look to Him, and list for His quiet instruction.

It is never too late to start doing the right thing.
