  • SPECTRUM/Hundreds of fans were on hand Feb. 25 at New Milford High School for the annual exhibition put on by the school's Winter Guard and Winter Percussion teams, as well as performances by students from neighboring schools. Above, from left to right, Jared Parker, Richard Yan and Joshua Bautista of the 27-member percussion team, known as "Green Heat,"  perform in a show titled "The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse." Divided into four movements, the show representings the four horseman as described in the Book of Revelation. The shield on the front of the uniforms is made up of four colors: orange represents Conquest, red represents War, silver represents Famine, pale green represents Death. The gymnasium at New Milford High School was rocking recently with performances by the school's talented and skilled color guard and percussion team.

Hundreds of fellow students, family members and friends enjoyed the show Feb. 25 as NMHS hosted its annual guard and drumline exhibition, as well as a competition among high school teams from Bunnell, Stamford, Danbury, Brien McMahon and Arlington, N.Y.

The Green Wave dance team lent its special flavor by offering performances during intermission and at evening's end. -- Norm Cummings
