25-year-old New Preston resident transported by LifeStar

LifeStar responded to the New Preston firehouse at approximately 3:37 p.m. Monday to transport a 25-year-old woman who had been struck and run over by a slow-moving car in a driveway on East Shore Road on Lake Waramaug, Washington ambulance Chief of Operations Susan Wallace Wyance confirmed.

Ms. Wyance said the woman was conscious during transport and was flown to St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.

The 911 call was received at approximately 3:16 p.m. The woman's name and exact address was not released.

Ms. Wyance said the woman lived at the residence where the accident had occurred. Scanner reports indicated the woman had feet, leg and arm injuries.
