The New Milford Youth Agency has completed work projects on the Catherine Lillis Administration Building along East Street.

The agency staff has patched and repainted the gymnasium ceiling, replaced gutters and fixed a leak on the cupola at the edifice it calls home.

Mark Mankin, executive director of the Youth Agency, informed the Board of Education facilities subcommittee Dec. 4 the cupola also needs painting and tightening structurally at a cost of between $50,000 and $60,000.

Mr. Mankin is checking town funding and state grants to help defray the cost of the cupola work.

The roof is the building's original slate roof from the 1930s when it was constructed as the town's high school. Mr. Mankin suggested a renovation engineer and architect examine the roof.

He noted it is not leaking at this time.
