Nearly as quickly as one could say "Jack Rabbit," a snow-white bunny made a cameo appearance last week on the Village Green in New Milford.

This rabbit was no ordinary rabbit but a product of the Thanksgiving Eve snowstorm that temporarily blanketed the Greater New Milford area with anywhere from four to 12 inches of the white stuff.

Some creative snow artist(s) opted away from the usual snowman and dismissed the notion of a seasonally acceptable snow turkey.

Instead, he or she, or he and she, built a very impressive, four-foot tall rabbit within a few feet of the bandstand on the south end of the Green.

Sadly, due either to warming temperatures or human intervention, the snow rabbit was nowhere to be seen by the time thousands gathered Saturday, Nov. 29 on the Green for the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce's annual Festival of Lights.
