Paul Rake will live in on the memory of many in the New Milford community because of Tall Paul's Closet.
The Princeton University graduate died in mid-October after living for 11 years as a member of the town's homeless community.
During those years, he often took refuge at night in the parish doorway of St. John's Episcopal Church along the Village Green.
In tribute to his memory, Tall Paul's Closet has been created at the church -- a side room where warm winter coats and clothing are neatly arranged, ready for any member of the homeless community who needs them.
"We're near Loaves & Fishes, Social Services, this is where they are," the Rev. Jack Gilpin said of the homeless. "We're still deciding what days the closet will be open. We're thinking possibly two Saturdays a month."
