Towns in the Greater New Milford area reporting on an icy Monday morning that plowing and salting and sanding crews were keeping up with their tasks.
In Roxbury, main paved roads are in good condition while dirt roads in the town remained icy at about 10 a.m., First Selectman Barbara Henry reported.
Crews are still working on those roadways.
In Sherman, First Selectman Clay Cope reported town roads were salted and sanded by crews throughout the early morning hours and into the day.
The state roads through Sherman, routes 37 and 39, were reported to be "slushy" and caution should be used in driving on them, Mr. Cope said.
Crews in New Milford, Bridgewater, Kent, Warren and Washington were also on task and the roadways were reported passable.
