Spectrum announces letter policy

The Spectrum welcomes Letters to the Editor.
Letters should not exceed 300 words. Occasionally, The Spectrum publishes issue-oriented pieces not to exceed 600 words.
The Spectrum reserves the right to edit submissions for brevity, clarity, appropriateness and libel and to determine the frequency with which a writer's submissions are published.
All submissions must be signed and include the writer's town of residence (for publication) as well as a home address and phone number (not for publication).
The deadline is Tuesday at noon, although The Spectrum would consider publication of letters submitted by Wednesday at 9 a.m. related to events occurring after the Tuesday deadline.
