BRIDGEWATER SENIOR CENTER

Ongoing events

Mondays: Closed.

Tuesdays: Walking group, 9:30 a.m.(spring and summer only). Computer Club 1, 10 a.m. to noon. Social worker available for questions, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Silver Needles (quilters), 1-4 p.m. VNA blood pressure (second Tuesday each month), 1-2 p.m.

Wednesdays: Tai chi, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mah-jongg, 1 p.m. (call to confirm dates).

Thursdays: Coffee hour, 10-11 a.m. (unless special event is planned).

Fridays: Poker, 10 a.m. Canasta, 1 p.m.

Upcoming events

Trips are open to non-Bridgewater residents.

Screenings of "Carol Burnett" show: Jan. 24, Feb. 14 and 28, 6:30 p.m. Transportation available for those who do not drive at night.

Flex Appeal: Six-week course starts Jan. 28, 11 a.m. Class does not meet Feb. 18.

Program about estate planning and living wills: Jan. 31, 1 p.m. With attorney Arthur Weinshank of Cramer & Anderson.

Screening of "Second Hand Lions": Feb. 7, 1 p.m.

Lunch: Feb. 14, noon. With chef John Marsh.

Trip to see Irish Tenors: March 13, 8 p.m. concert. Warner Theatre, Torrington. Dinner to precede show. Bus will depart from senior center lot.

Senior van: Available Mondays-Fridays. Call for details.

KENT SENIOR CENTER

Ongoing events

Mondays: Center opens at 10:30 a.m. for games, cards, bingo, Wii sports; meal program served at 12:30 p.m., suggested donation of $3, reservations required by calling 860-927-3403.

Tuesday: ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out), 8:30 a.m., the Villager Restaurant, Main Street, newcomers are welcome; senior center open 1-4 p.m. for library bridge group, some experience needed; card players welcome also.

Special events

Valentine's luncheon: Feb. 13 at noon, $3. Reservations required by Feb. 4 by calling 860-927-3403.

Senior suppers: Daily, 4-6 p.m. At New Milford Hospital, 21 Elm St. $5. Senior supper card required; cards available through the Park and Rec office. Reservations are required by the day before at 2 p.m. by calling 860-210-7470.

Bus to Torrington: Service to Torrington or Danbury. Picks up on the second Tuesday of the month for shopping, lunch, medical appointments, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations required by calling 866-906-7433.

ROXBURY SENIOR CENTER

Tuesdays: Senior aerobics, 10 a.m.

Wednesdays: Computer supportive services, 10:30 a.m. Free blood pressure screening, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Strengthening exercises class, 2:15 p.m. Call for details.

Thursdays: Senior aerobics, 10 a.m. Silver Threads (knitting and handicrafts group), 10:30 a.m.-noon.

Fridays: Yoga, 10-11:30 a.m.

The Roxbury Senior Center, located in the old Town Hall at 7 South St., is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 860-210-0056.

SHERMAN RENAISSANCE CENTER

Weekly events

Wednesdays: Walking Group, 9 a.m., at the Sherman track. Call ahead to confirm. Wii, 10:30 a.m.-noon. Pinochle card games, noon-4 p.m. Trip to mall (first Wednesday each month), call at least two days ahead of time to make arrangements.

Thursdays: Shopping, call for a ride. Trip to Shop Rite and Stew Leonard's (third Thursday each month), call at least two days ahead of time to make arrangements.

Fridays: Walking Group, 9 a.m., at the Sherman track. Call ahead to confirm. Gentle yoga at JCC, 10:40 a.m. Senior Dine, 11 a.m., at American Pie, Sherman Center.

Ongoing: Computers. Open to all seniors.
