One might initially need a lineup card in coming weeks to know which administrator is at which school in New Milford.
There has been a shuffling of principals for the coming 2014-15 school year.
His annual salary will be approximately $67,000.
By teacher's retirement board rules, Tomasello can receive only 45 percent of what a position pays.
He came out of retirement to serve at Sarah Noble in August 2011.
Anne Bilko, a former assistant principal at Sarah Noble, has been named principal of the intermediate school. Her salary will be $124,512.
Prior to serving as an assistant principal for two years at Sarah Noble, Bilko was an administrative intern at the school and assistant principal at Hill and Plain.
"With the closing of John Pettibone School in June of 2015 and the reconfiguration of the remaining schools," said Superintendent of Schools JeanAnn Paddyfote, "we want a leadership team in place this year to help ensure a smooth transition for all."
"Mrs. (Paula) Kelleher will remain at John Pettibone School, where she has served as principal for many years," added Paddyfote.
"Dr. Tomasello will provide veteran leadership at Hill and Plain, and Mrs. Bilko will take over the leadership at Sarah Noble, a school and staff she knows well."
Kelleher will take Tomasello's place as principal at Hill and Plain for the 2015-16 school year after Pettibone becomes history.
She has held the Pettibone School job since 1997 and is paid $122,129 annually.
Barbara Nanassy will fill the assistant principal position at Sarah Noble Intermediate School starting in August.
Her salary will be $107,123.
She comes to New Milford from the Brookfield public schools where she worked since 1998, first as a second-grade teacher and most recently as a fifth-grade math and literacy teacher.
Jennifer Hankla has been named assistant principal for grades kindergarten through third at Hill and Plain and Pettibone schools at a salary of $101,577.
She previously had worked as an elementary teacher in the district for 12 years.
