Roxbury Land Trust applies for accreditation

Land trusts earning accreditation status are deemed in compliance with the highest standards of land management, fiscal solvency, board governance, operational procedures and policies, and accounting controls.
In preparing its application for accreditation, the Roxbury Land Trust has reviewed all of its operations and implemented new policies to meet the standards and practices of the Land Trust Alliance.
This process engaged all of the directors and staff of Roxbury Land Trust for the past few years.
Twelve land trusts in the state have won accreditation status.
The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, invites public comment on the Roxbury Land Trust's conservation benefit to the town and neighboring communities.
Comments should relate to national quality standards addressing the ethical and technical operation of land trusts.
