The Gunnery will go before the Washington Zoning Commission Nov. 26 for a public hearing on a proposed addition to the school's administration building.
The private boarding school has an application before zoners to build a 1,300-square-foot extension to the Bourne building.
The addition would house new college placement offices and be compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act.
"The school plans to provide five small private offices and two larger, open offices over the two floors of the addition," Washington land-use coordinator Janet Hill said.
The addition would be connected to the main building by a handicap ramp corridor.
The school obtained a variance Oct. 18 from the Zoning Board of Appeals for an increase in lot coverage by the building.
On Sept. 25, The Historic District Commission granted a certificate of appropriateness for the project.
