Fire quickly contained at Kimber-Clark

A small insulation fire resulting from the demolition of old equipment in an unused warehouse at Kimberly-Clark was quickly extinguished Thursday morning in New Milford.
Mill manager Gary Wright said there was "more smoke than fire" resulting from the incident but local firefighters were called to the scene to be sure the fire was extinguished.
No mill personnel had to be evacuated, Mr. Wright said.
"We are sure the investigation will determine the exact origination of the fire," Mr. Wright said. "The equipment was an old air-conditioning system that has been out of service for 12 years."
