DeMilia elected to state office

Carl DeMilia, director of New Milford Public Library, has been elected president of the Connecticut Library Association.

During the past year, Mr. DeMilia served as vice-president/president elect.

He began his tenure as president on June 6.

The CLA is the state's professional organization of more than 1,000 librarians, library staff, friends and trustees working together to improve library service, to advance the interest of librarians, library staff and librarianship, and to increase public awareness of libraries and library services.
