Across the state, Connecticut towns are pledging to become clean energy communities by using less energy and getting more energy from renewable sources.

New Milford is one of these towns.

In April, New Milford's Clean Energy Task Force kicked off its clean energy efforts.

The Clean Energy Task Force meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Loretta Brickley Conference Room at town hall.

Residents interested in energy efficiency and renewable energy are encouraged to attend.
