Public invited to library events

The New Milford Public Library on Main Street will offer a variety of programs in the coming weeks.

The library will present a screening of the foreign film "Il Postino" Aug. 9 at 2 p.m.; a history of Gaylordsville program Aug. 10 at 9:30 a.m. at the senior center on Main Street; "Credit Card Debt Does Not Have to Be a Way of Life" with Tammy Toscano, a certified life coach, Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m.; and the last program in the library's film discussion series Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. with a screening of "Marty."
