Police this week said an identification of the driver of the other vehicle, who they said had fled the scene of the 11:40 a.m. accident, had been obtained and the investigation is continuing.

New Milford police were this week investigating a Saturday motorcycle crash on Kent Road (Route 7 North) at East View Drive. The motorcycle was heading north on Kent Road when a southbound vehicle turned into the lane at about 4:40 p.m., police said. The injuries were non-life threatening, police said. No names were released. Route 7 was closed briefly because of the accident.

A passenger of the the vehicle Ryan had been driving remained Monday in Danbury Hospital with serious injuries, police said. Police on Monday were still searching for the driver of the other vehicle, who they said had fled the scene of the 11:40 a.m. accident.

The New Milford Police Department's traffic reconstruction team was called to the site of a head-on collision between a compact car and a dump truck Saturday, April 27 at 1:50 p.m., police confirmed. The crash occurred at the intersection of Kent Road (Route 7 North) and Boardman Road, when a south-bound dump truck traveling on Kent Road attempted to pass a second vehicle turning right into a tag sale, police said.

Repeat embezzler Deborah Wilmot of Bridgewater will serve the next five and a half years in prison on another first-degree larceny charge. Wilmot, 43, was sentenced Tuesday in state Superior Court in Litchfield to 15 years of incarceration, suspended after five and a half years, to be followed by five years of probation. Wilmot pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to the two state charges, deciding against a jury trial. Ginocchio refused the request of Wilmot's attorney, Martin Minnella, to run her sentence on the larceny charge "flat" with the two years remaining on her federal incarceration. Wilmot's federal tax evasion charges resulted from a civil suit in which she and her husband were paying back some $220,000 with her father's assistance.
