The Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington will offer a variety of programs in the coming weeks and months.

Programs will include the annual Green Corn Festival Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., an Indian market Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Aug. 8 from noon to 4 p.m., “Before the Bow and Arrow, an Atlatl workshop Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., an artifact identification day Aug. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. and a “Spirit of the Drum” workshop Aug. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

September programs will include “Poultices & Teas: Natures First Aid” Sept. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m., an Afro-Asiatic flute workshop Sept. 12 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and a woodland pottery workshop Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sept. 19 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
