The Village Fair Days will be held today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the Village Green in New Milford.

The two-day event is sponsored by the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce.

The fair will feature arts, crafts and antiques vendors, as well as amusements, businesses, organizations, churches, clubs and food vendors.

Parking will be mostly first-come, first serve.

Sixteen parking spaces in the village center parking lot, directly behind Town Hall, have been designated as handicapped parking St. Peter's Masonic Lodge will offer $5 parking at its 11 Aspetuck Ave. parking lot.

for the duration of Village Fair Days. These spots will be marked with standard handicapped parking signs.

The schedule of events:

Friday, July 30

10 a.m.: Opening ceremony, including National Anthem, ribbon cutting, crowning of king and queen and "God Bless America," on stage.

10 a.m.-10 p.m.: Fine arts, crafts, antiques, business booths, non-profit booths and food vendors.

10:45-11:15 a.m.: Vocalist Linda Parker on stage.

11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Amber Alert child identification program sponsored by New Milford Police Department and Danbury and New Milford Rotary clubs in lower level of town hall. Patrons are asked to use the Church Street entrance.

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: RecOn activities sponsored by New Milford Parks & Recreation Department on stage.

Noon-10 p.m.: Bingo sponsored by the Knights of Columbus at south end of Green.

1:30-2 p.m.: Music by Circle of Voyces on stage.

2:30 p.m.: Tour of town hall with Probate Judge Martin Landgrebe. Meet at front steps of town hall.

2:15-3:15 p.m.: Demonstration by New Milford Sports Club on stage.

3:30-4 p.m.: TheatreWorks activity on stage.

4:30-6 p.m.: Karaoke with Musik Man D.J. Entertainment on stage.

6 p.m.: Children's Fun Run sponsored by Double Dragon Martial Arts Academy. Children must pre-register at the Village Fair Days booth between 10 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Races will be held for ages 4 and under, ages 5-8 and ages 9-12.

7-10 p.m.: Music by Higher & Higher on stage.

10 p.m.: Fair closes.

Saturday, July 31

9 a.m.: 43rd annual 8-mile and eighth annual Village Fair Days 5K, sponsored by the New Milford Parks & Recreation Department.

10 a.m.: Fair opens.

10 a.m.-10 p.m.: Fine arts, crafts, antiques, business booths, non-profit booths and food vendors.

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Amber Alert child identification program sponsored by New Milford Police Department and Danbury and New Milford Rotary clubs in lower level of town hall. Patrons are asked to use the Church Street entrance.

10:30 a.m.: Road race awards on stage.

Noon-1 p.m.: Music by Last Place Victory on stage.

1:15-2 p.m.: Elite Gymnastics activity on stage.

2:15-2:45 p.m.: Double Dragon Martial Arts Academy activity on stage.

3-3:45 p.m: Free class and demonstration by Harmony Yoga on stage.

4-4:45 p.m.: Belly Dance FIT/Get Fit with Kathy Henkel on stage.

5-6 p.m.: Chicken wing eating contest sponsored by St. Peter's Masonic Lodge on stage.

7-10 p.m: Music by Steppin' Out with Curtis T on stage.

8 p.m.: Presentation of Village Fair Days and Frederick J. Wynne Scholarship Fund awards on stage.

10 p.m.: Fair closes.
