The Roxbury Congregational Church will hold its annual beef barbecue Aug. 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

In case of rain, the dinner will be held in fellowship hall.

The fundraiser, which has been an end-of-summer tradition since 1962, is celebrating its 48th year.

The menu will include spit-roasted beef basted with a special western-style barbecue sauce, homemade coleslaw, baked potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, bread, cookies and sundaes.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children aged 5-11 and free for children under 5.

Reservations are encouraged by calling the Church Road church at 860-355-1978.
