The Gunn Memorial Library on Wykeham Road in Washington has announced its upcoming programs.

Upcoming children's offerings will include family yoga Nov. 13 at 1 p.m.; a "Star Wars "celebration Nov. 27 at 1 p.m.; and a comedy magic show Dec. 28 at 4 p.m.

In addition, the Junior Library's after-school story craft participants have been "traveling" around the world via suitcase adventures.

Suitcases filled with books about cuisine, people, geography and folk tales, as well as samples of currency, clothing, jewelry, music and souvenirs typical to a country may be checked out for use at home or in a classroom.

Upcoming adult programs will include music by Sandy Klesiner and Friends Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.; a discussion of "The Rise and Fall of the American Medical Empire" A Trench Doctor's View of the Past, Present and Future of the U.S. Healthcare System" with author Dr. Robert Linden Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m.; and music by pianist Gayle Martin Henry Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m., with a snow date of Dec. 14.

The library will also present several art shows in the coming months.

Watercolors by Russian children will be exhibited Nov. 20 through Jan. 1, followed by an exhibit of works by Robert Park Jan. 8 through Feb. 19.
